Client Overview: SARA Simply Sampling

SARA Sampling is a leading retail sampling agency supporting food and beverage clients across Western Canada. Their programs generate a high volume of in-field data, capturing consumer engagement, product performance, and store-level execution insights across hundreds of sampling events.

As the need for real-time visibility increased, there was a clear opportunity to better consolidate and interpret this data in a single, accessible view.

The Challenge

Sampling data was being consistently captured through Staff Connect, but reporting required manual exports, cleanup, and consolidation. This made it difficult to get a clear and timely view of performance across regions and programs.

Key challenges included:

Time spent cleaning and organizing survey data
Limited visibility across Western Canada
Difficulty tracking performance down to the store level
Delays in sharing insights with stakeholders

Our Approach

Segue Systems built a Power BI dashboard that takes raw Staff Connect survey exports, cleans and standardizes the data, and feeds it into a live reporting environment.

The dashboard provides a real-time view of sampling activity across Western Canada, allowing users to move from a high-level summary down to individual store and event details.

Users can:

Track performance across regions, brands, and SKUs
Monitor key metrics such as samples distributed, product sold, and conversion
Drill down to store-level insights to identify top-performing locations and opportunities
View all sampling data in one centralized dashboard
